C.J. Beatty: Cardinals Minor Leaguer Is All Over Twitter
C.J. Beatty, an outfielder drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals last year (26th round; 789th overall), has been playing well with the Quad Cities team and was recently promoted to the club's full-season roster, AND HE'LL TELL YOU ALL ABOUT IT ON TWITTER. Kidding aside, this minor-league prospect is all over the web in a major way.

The odds of reaching the major leagues are very slim, but former Glenn and North Carolina A&T baseball star C.J. Beatty has been beating the odds for a long time. After finishing his first summer of pro ball in the St. Louis Cardinal organization, Beatty already had his five-year plan in place.

Beatty participates in the Crop Walk
The Crop Walk is a national community based fundraiser that raises money to help fight hunger around the world. Beatty Signs with MBI Sports
CJ Beatty has signed an agreement with MBi Sports Management Agency of Greensboro, NC. Mr. Beatty was selected by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 26th round (789th overall) of the Major League Baseball 2009 amateur entry draft. He was a two-time Athlete of the Year at NC A&T University (Greensboro, NC) and finished his college career as a .339 hitter with 31 home runs and 135 RBIs in three seasons.

Cardinals Select Beatty in MLB Draft
Surrounded by family members and well wishers, North Carolina A&T junior outfielder Christian “CJ” Beatty heard the phone ring at his Winston-Salem home on Wednesday.
It was the long-awaited phone call the 20-year old has been waiting to receive for 15 years because on the other end of the line was a representative of a major league baseball team. Beatty was informed that he was about to be drafted.
